If you use Aweber as your autoresponder, you need to know how to use it effectively.

Are you aware that Aweber charges you for all of the people on your lists including those who have unsubscribed? You are also charged for those people who have signed up to your list using a false email or they have now closed that email account. If for any reason  Aweber cannot deliver your email to an address you will be charged.

First let’s look at how to delete un-subscribers that you should not be paying for. If you have more than one list, you have to go through each list separately. Start at the top list and work your way one by one.

Log into your Aweber account. Up on the top toolbar go across to “subscribers” – click on the down arrow and select “search.” This is what the screen will look like.

 Aweber Unsubscribed

Go to the “View Segment” and click on the down arrow and select “unsubscribed.” This will bring up a complete list for that list who have unsubscribed. You will notice at the top of the list on the far right is a small box beside the word “Erase” and if you click there it will bring up a tick beside every unsubscriber’s name. Then go down to the bottom of the page on the right hand site and click “save.”

All the names will disappear from your screen and Aweber cannot charge you for them. The number of unsubscribes will still show on the home screen until you log out. When you log in the next time this number will disappear.

Now let’s get rid of the subscribers who have an undeliverable subscribers address. Go through each list separately. There is no point in paying for people on your list who are not receiving your email. There can be a few reasons why this happens. If it was a single opt-in, they could have given you a false email, or they could have closed their account. Using the same screen, click on the “View Subscribers”click on the down arrow and select “undeliverable subscribers.” Click on search and you will see how many of your emails are not delivered. Simply erase them as you did before.
Aweber Undeliverable Subscribers

Sometimes even though you are only using a single opt-in, you may notice there are some email address that require confirmation. The reason for this is that Aweber do not believe that these addresses are real. They may contain a few letters or numbers that make them look like spam. If these addresses are not confirmed, Aweber will drop them for your list in 30 days. So if you see them there it is not necessary to take any action regarding them.

There are many several ways to market your online business. This can be done by using banner ads, writing a series of emails, or going to related forums in your niche. One of the best methods is to use social media to get noticed. We are aiming at getting our website seen by as many eyes as possible. Our main aim is to get potential customers to buy our products or services.

Because of budget restrictions, we do not want to pay for our traffic but we want to explore as many free methods to drive traffic as we can. Market your businessYou can use a free blog to advertise your site and create a link to your website. When we build our website you can benefit by using photos of the product or products we are going to sell. Always give a description also as and in the description list the some of the main features and benefits of the product. People want to know about what you are offering. When consumers are searching the internet, they are looking for a solution or answer to a problem they or someone close to them may be experiencing.

This is the advantage of having a presence online because if you know how to get your website on the first page of the search engines you have a great potential that you can get a stream of customers.

We are not only marketing your products here but customers can buy your products directly online. Products online are usually cheaper than products that you can purchase off line. The reason for this is that there are less overheads and expenses to have an online business. Online purchasing has become very popular.

When you market online you have the advantage of having your business seen worldwide. There is no limit to the amount of people that could see the product or service you are offering. If you chose to advertise via any other form of the media, like TV or magazines, you would probably only reach potential customers in a relatively small geographic area.

One advantage that cannot be overlooked is that by using a website to market your business, the internet is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Unlike conventional stores that have regular business hours, your website is available to your customers at any hour. Many people work long hours and they find it a lot easier and quicker to purchase on the internet.

The final advantage of having a website is, as a second stream of income, you may like to sell advertising space. If you are thinking of selling space on your site, always be very careful that you do not sell space to a competitor. Never totally sell all the space available because if there are too many advertisements on your site, it will distract your potential customers.

Your online business must provide good information and the subscriber must be satisfied that the product or service you are providing will help resolve some or all of their problems. If you can do this, there is a chance that they will tell others about the products or services you are providing.

This is theBuilding a List of Subscribers beginning of have “raving” fans. “Raving” fans are those that will continue to read your emails and buy your products.

As you start to get people visiting your site, you must capture the subscribers email address at a minimum. Some people also ask for the name but the name is not necessary. You have to create a series of follow up emails and the first email in the list thanks them for subscribing and again put the download link here just in case they had a problem.

To enable you to send these emails, you will need an autoresponder. In these emails, provide your subscribers with free information and you can also tell them about other products that you believe would be beneficial for them. Send them tips and strategies to help them improve their online business.

The best emails are often those that tell a story and keep the person interested but also have some factual content.

Go to forums in your niche and answer the most asked questions in your emails. Providing timely information will keep your subscribers opening your emails. Most forums will also allow a signature link which will appear at the bottom of your post. In here put the URL where you want to direct subscribers to.

You may even prefer to create an ebook and answer about eight to ten questions from the forums. Give the book away for free. Allow others to distribute it for you but on the condition they cannot change any of the internal links in the book.

There will be times when people will unsubscribe from your list. There are varying reasons for this but one is that they feel they are not getting value from you. That is why you have to really put an effort into writing your emails.

Product creation is a very exciting way to be involved in internet marketing. It can appear to be a little daunting for the “newbie” but if you can create your own product you will find it very rewarding in many ways. It you can sell your product, you are most certainly on your way.

Easy Product CreationThe easiest way for most beginners is to buy some PLR products, maybe two or three books on a subject, make a study of them and then using your own words you can create a new product. You may be fortunate already to have a product in mind in a particular niche and you know that you have a lot of background knowledge on the subject.

Before creating your product, it pays to do some market research and see if the product you have in mind would be a product that someone would want. Check out other products in that category. Know how much competition you may be up against, and know that you must be able to produce a better product to gain a larger slice of the market.

What your product has to do is provide answers and solutions for questions that are being asked in that niche. The only way to ascertain this is to go and join a forum or do a survey and ask pertinent questions. When you realize what people want to know, you create a product to fulfill that need. Again, research is the key here.

We can even refer back to keyword research here. If you use a keyword tool, check how popular both short and long tailed keywords are in your chosen niche. Keywords are one of the methods that people use to find your product. Another way is to advertise it – and there are several methods of advertising you can employ, including the use of social media.

Your product can be delivered in many different forms and one of the most popular at the moment is the instruction video or video series. You can also write an ebook which, if you like, you can then create it as an MP3 file. You many want to write a weekly report which can be downloaded through a membership site. Which ever method you choose, give as much information as you can on the subject; get the customer keen to get the next product that you are going to create.

If you want to know more about PLR grab the free report I wrote about it either in the side bar or follow this link.

Some may think this is completely off the topic of internet marketing but there are similarities. I just wanted to do a blog about my grandson who has become a very successful surf photographer while still a school student. He taught himself how to do this and is now regarded very highly. He is following his passion and he is having a great deal of success. This year his sponsor company have four trips planned for him going overseas. We, as internet marketers need to have the same type of passion and this will allow us to succeed.

At the age of 12, he decided he would approach people to sponsor him as a surf photographer – bold move for 12 but that is the same age that Steve Jobs contacted Dave Packard. He is sponsored by a body board company. His mother bought him his first camera and within his first month, he was having his pictures published in surfing magazines.

He had a series of photographs on Flickr but he found people were copying his photos and using them so he reluctantly removed them. Unfortunately he has had to remove most of his photos off the internet. He has a Facebook page where he has put up a few photos.( if the link below does not work, copy and paste to your browser)

https://www.facebook.com/jye.mcdonald.9

In August 2009, his sponsor company took him to Western Australia to shoot in Esperance and the Margaret River. His parents let him go for the experience and to enjoy something he is very passionate about.

http://jyemcdonaldphotos.blogspot.com/

He has certainly changed to a surfer boy now. If you click in the middle of the photos it will take it to full screen.
Last month, he had 4 photos published in a French surfing magazine and was paid for this. Each photo could sell at the moment from $200 -$500 When his photos are published, he is always paid and he is getting more and more published.

We missed seeing him for Christmas day two years ago because he was contacted by a surfing magazine to do an all day shoot on the Gold Coast. The reason is, we were experiencing waves of 20 feet and more and they wanted some great shots. Some of the beaches have been closed. He is still only paid for the photos that they buy from him.

Jye now has his name embedded in the photos to stop people from using them. So what started as a desire has become a great passion for him. Instead of having to work at KFC or McDonald’s to earn some money, he goes surfing and takes his camera.

Well done Jye! If he could find his passion at such a young age – I am sure you can find yours. As an internet marketer, you must have that inner drive and passion if you are going to succeed just as Jye is doing. You too can climb the ladder of success.

Hi I just watched a webinar and I would like to say it was back to basics. It reminded me where I first started learning internet marketing and where I am now. Yes what a journey this has been. Everybody who comes online has to start at the beginning and it seems so strange to think back to the start of when you were first learning how to get started.

I remembered my start and my first coach telling me to write a blog but before that I had to buy a domain name, set up hosting, paypal and then get an autoresponder.

I remember the first blog post I ever wrote about the beginning of a long journey. I had no idea about the internet and what I had to learn. I have a saying about internet marketing – “You don’t know what you don’t know.” That sounds a bit like a riddle but it is so true. Every step you take is a new adventure.

I remember first learning about WordPress and I had to pick a theme. Now that doesn’t sound hard but to a newbie it was daunting but then I was told if I didn’t like it I could change the theme. It was just a matter of finding the new one and uploading it (again I had to learn how to upload the theme). Then I had to learn about widgets and plugins. It seemed strange at the time because it seemed quite difficult but now I can create a site very quickly.

I remember the first time I was told to put a video into my blog from Youtube. Again I had to be shown how to do that. I was taught all of this over a few weeks. Seems strange to remember back to then when I wanted to earn my first dollar online.

That is a really exciting moment for an internet marketer, checking their account and seeing money, even if it only a few dollars, it makes you believe that it is possible to make money online. It makes all the work that you have done feel worthwhile. You want to tell everyone but the secret is you have to be able to consistently see the money come in before you can throw away your day job to go full time online.

Some people do not want to make millions but just help with a little extra cash that will give them the extras in life that they could not necessarily afford before. So whatever your dreams are I hope you achieve them.

Keyword research is actually a part of Search Engine Optimization. What you are aiming for is getting the correct keywords or keyword phrases in your niche that a visitor is searching for. This is not really a difficult task.

To begin to search for relevant keywords, there are several keyword search tools you can use but I would suggest the free version of Google Keyword Tool or the paid version of Noble Samurai or wordtracker. Google keyword tool will give you all the information you need to allow you to make a decision on what keywords, both long and short tailed, you should use. Long tailed keywords usually consist of three or more keyword joined together.

Keyword research can be very time consuming but if done correctly, can help get your site up into the top ten with Google for your domain name or URL.

A good site contains the information that people are searching for. When you go to Google Keyword tool and you type in the keyword you want and the captcha. Google will automatically show you a very large list all related to the keyword you entered. Go through the list and select no more that ten but you may only want to select five.

Always select keywords or phrases that have lower searches per month. This way you will be able to be more successful, because less competition, means that you can get you site up the rankings faster. Many times people type in long phrases when they are searching for information.

Remember when you start to write you site pages always keep in mind the amount of keyword you can use. A density of 3-5 % is what is required. I have seen some sites that say up to 10% but I would prefer less. There are free sites that will analyse your URL and let you know the percentage of keyword or keyword phrases you have used. Never use a higher percentage than this because your work could be regarded as spam and blacklisted.

Your main keyword should always appear in your domain name. Therefore always select your domain name carefully. If you have the right keyword combination in your domain, it is likely that people typing in your keywords will arrive at your site.
